Nick and Patrycja would love to welcome you in to our home during your stay in the Lochinver or Assynt area. The house is called Tigh Na Sith (pronounced Tie-Na-She) - in Gaelic it means The House of Peace and we offer three spacious and comfortable en-suite rooms.Our location is a few minutes walking distance, from all of the local amenities, bank, post office, restaurants, bars, hotels, Tourist Information Centre, village hall and shops. We are only a short drive, walk or cycle (3 miles) from the nearest sandy beach. Additionally situated in our own private grounds we have ample car parking.Our home is a well equipped and detached guest house our aim is to offer you a home from home experience which is why all of our guest rooms are en-suite and very comfortably furnished.The house, from it elevated position, enjoys spectacular views of the Loch and over the Minch towards the Outer Hebrides and, is a perfect base, for exploring the West Coast and Sutherland area. We are also the perfect stop over en route to or from The Outer Hebrides (also known as The Western Isles).The Lochinver and surrounding area has an abundance of activities and places to visit to keep the most intrepid bird watchers, walkers, cavers, golfers, deer spotters and fishermen happy.If exploring using wheels is your thing, then worry not, there are plenty of activities, routes and roads to indulge yourself in whether you are on two, three or four wheels.If its water based activities you are into, then divers, canoeists, budding skippers, skiers and sea fishermen will not be disappointed. There are many activities for you to try out whether it be paddle, oar, human, wind or outboard engine powered you will find it here in Assynt.Not forgetting for one minute those of you who like to take life a little easier, fear not, there are many art galleries and local craft workers located in and around the area, and if you really want to relax we have three, yes three, magnificent white sand and emerald sea beaches, within a 15 minute drive.We hope you choose to stay with us at Tigh Na Sith as we are the perfect base for exploring this magnificent, natural, unspoilt gem known as Assynt.

Tigh Na Sith is located in the village of Lochinver which is: By Car, Trike or Motorcycle.2 hours drive from Inverness (our nearest city) Inverness has good air, road and rail links.35 minutes drive North of Ullapool - the Ferry Port serving The Western Isles - Outer Hebrides.1 hour and ten minutes drive from Durness on the North Coast.Directions by road from the SouthFrom Inverness follow signs for Ullapool heading over the Kessock Bridge on the A9. At the Tore roundabout take the second exit onto the A835 signposted for Ullapool. Continue on the A835 through Ullapool following signs for the North. You will pass through a small village of Elphin, continue until you come to Ledmore junction where you make a left turn onto the A837, signposted for Lochinver. Follow this road for approx 20 miles right into Lochinver. Drive down the hill into the village and continue towards the harbour and along the water front. You will pass a petrol station on your right and just after that you will pass the Church of Scotland on your right, within 30 metres you will come to the Village Hall and Tourist Information Centre on your left. Turn left here between the two buildings and then turn left opposite the car park you will see our signage and finally take the first right which will take you up to Tigh-Na-Sith and our private car parking area.Directions by road from the NorthHeading from the Wick, John O' Groats, Tongue and Thurso, on the North Coast Road - A836. At Tongue take the A838 heading towards, Durness, Ullapool, Scourie and Kylesku. At Laxford Bridge take the A894 towards Ullapool, Scourie, Kylesku and Lochinver. After 8 miles from when you pass over Kylesku Bridge, turn right onto the A837 to Lochinver. Drive down the hill into the village and continue towards the harbour and along the water front. You will pass a petrol station on your right and just after that you will pass the Church of Scotland on your right, within 30 metres you will come to the Village Hall and Tourist Information Centre on your left.
